Anusha set up Hedge End Dental Surgery in Southampton in 2011 and it has grown and continues to develop as a thriving business ever since, which is testament to her kind and caring approach with both patients and her team. Anusha also established Beggarwood Dental Surgery in Basingstoke in 200. Anusha qualified at the University of Witwatersrand in 1999, before starting her career in Dentistry in the UK. Anusha developed a passion for implant dentistry and as a result achieved her Master’s degree in Advanced Dental Implantology in 2023 from Aston University. Most recently, she has also been made a fellow of the College of General Dentistry and is also a Project Supervisor for students on the current Master’s course at Aston University. Anusha enjoys bringing out the best in others, encouraging lifelong learning and development in the team. She is always eager to keep abreast of the latest developments in techniques, materials, and treatment modalities in dentistry by networking, reading and attending courses. Outside of the world of dentistry Anusha enjoys spending time with her two children and husband, practising martial arts and reading.

My name is Lisa and I have been working in the dental industry for over 9 years. I started by training as a Dental Nurse and I was lucky enough to work in several practices, gaining plenty of experience and meeting lovely dentists, nurses and patients that I continue to stay in touch with. After some time, I decided I prefer a generalised face to face role, so I chose to work as a receptionist. I still find this role extremely rewarding as it is a crucial part of the entire patient journey in the practice and it is essential for the practice to run smoothly. I really enjoy my job so this makes coming to work a pleasure. I work alongside a fantastic, dedicated team and was honoured to be promoted in my career to become the Practice Manager of Hedge End Dental Surgery. Whilst accomplishing this position in a full-time role, I also have three lovely children and a fabulous husband that I love spending time with. However, the apple of my eye has recently been my beautiful granddaughter that I spend most of my free time with, not forgetting most of my money too, although I wouldn’t change a thing.

Nancy has been a Dental Nurse for over 27 years, she has worked within the NHS, private & the community dental service. Nancy joined the Hedge End Dental team in June 2024 and has really enjoyed her time so far.  Nancy is a  mum to 3 lovely boys and has a family pet  dog called Teddy. She enjoys  family time and  most of her weekends has been sat on the side line watching football. Nancy enjoys  socialising and the occasional  Pink Gin & Lemonade but  she  can’t have too many  she is a  dental nurse don’t you know.

I'm married with four children. I qualified from Bristol University in 2002. For a number of years a worked in Bloxham, North Oxfordshire, before buying and running a dental practice just outside Oxford.  After moving to Southampton in 2017 I was delighted to join the team at Hedge End and now work part-time for a local church and part time as a dentist.

Marjan graduated from Azad Dental University in Tehran in 2001. She moved to the UK right after graduation and pursued her study at Kings College London. Marjan has a diploma in restorative and aesthetic dentistry from Birmingham. Her special interest is refreshing and enhancing the patients smile by one of the best and less invasive techniques in modern dentistry: BioClear. Marjan's passion for cosmetic dentistry has sparked her interest in non-surgical injections to create a very natural looking frame around your beautiful teeth. Her aim is to enhance your natural beauty and rejuvenate your appearance by smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles to provide you with a refreshed and youthful look.

Her aim is to help nervous patients and make them feel at ease and happy to come back for their dental treatments. Outside of dentistry, Marjan spends time with her beautiful family, reading, travelling and skiing.

My name is Dr Kayleigh Swainson. After growing up in the area it's great to be back and helping you all out with your dental needs. My main passions in dentistry are preventative, minimally invasive and cosmetic dentistry, but I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and general practice lets me do a mixture of it all. I have wanted to be a dentist since I was 7 years old and I love my job! I qualified from the University of Bristol in 2018 and am a Silver Invisalign Provider. I enjoy doing this alongside my NHS work as I benefited from braces myself as a child and it made such a difference to my smile and confidence and I enjoy helping others experience this. Since starting at Hedge End Dental Surgery I have also got us involved in an NHS clinical study looking at offering less invasive, but already proven treatments at the forefront of dentistry. In my spare time I am often found bouldering or rope climbing and playing my flute in a local group.

Louise qualified from Bristol Dental School, spent a year in the west county before settling in the Southampton area. Louise is now providing ICON treatment a revolutionary treatment for removing white spots on teeth which can be done for children and adults. When not at work Louise loves spending time in her garden and being out and about with her family.

Panos Koufopoulos is from Greece originally. Panos worked as an dentist from 2000 until 2014 in Greece in his private practice. He then moved to UK in Northern Ireland in 2014, and in 2018 then moved down to Southampton working under NHS full time. In Nov 2021 Panos started working  in Hedge End Dental. He is confident communicator who can relate well to dental patients. He has proven the ability to ensure that dental practice in a surgery are continuously updated to provide first rate care to patients and their families. A confident healthcare professional with a long track record of successfully diagnosing and treating patients' dental conditions. Panos does like to do implants and dental surgery.

I qualified from the University of Portsmouth in 2014 with a First-Class Honours Degree in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. My clinical interests include placing white composite fillings, teeth whitening, and providing care for children. I'm also passionate about managing advanced gum disease and have gained advanced accreditation in periodontal stabilisation. I pride myself on being a kind and empathetic practitioner, always focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. I have a great deal of experience working with anxious and phobic patients—and I'm proud to say I haven't met one I couldn't put at ease! Whatever your concerns, you're in safe hands—we're here to look after you every step of the way. Outside the practice, you'll often find me running along the Stokes Bay seafront or getting stuck into home renovation projects with my partner. I also love to travel and enjoy exploring new cultures, as well as, discovering the beautiful sights right here in Hampshire.

Tom registered as a dental hygienist and therapist in 2012 from the University of Sheffield and has worked at Hedge end dental surgery since qualification. He works in multiple practices  in Hampshire and also trains new students at the University of Portsmouth one day a week. When Tom is not working he keeps busy with his family and loves to travel as often as he can.

Harry Martin is a dedicated Dental Nurse with a strong foundation in patient care and operational management. In his role, he assists dentists during procedures, prepares materials, and ensures patient comfort. A key aspect of his responsibilities includes maintaining stock control within the practice, ensuring that all necessary materials and supplies are readily available and adhere to infection control protocols. Effective inventory management is crucial in preventing shortages during critical procedures and maintaining a smooth workflow. Beyond his dental nursing duties, Harry has pursued entrepreneurial ventures, successfully running his own personal business. This experience has honed his organizational and leadership skills, contributing to his effectiveness in managing both clinical and administrative aspects of dental practice.

My Name is Lynne Soffe and  I have been a dental nurse for 25 years, working at Hedge End for the last 11 years. Favourite treatments are bioclear, crowns/bridges and root canals. I was Grass Hockey under 16 captain of my school, City & County. Previously was an Ice Figure skater, representing Great Britain at International level. Competing throughout Europe.        Trained in USA and Switzerland. Coached professionally in Canada . I love chocolate; brush twice a day & floss after every meal!

Louise has been nursing for 40 years and has been dental nursing since leaving school. She started in London and moved to Southampton. Louise likes caring for patients and making sure they feel at ease and well looked after. Louise enjoys it at Hedge End Dental and enjoys working with a great team. This with knowledge and experience makes Louise a valued dental nurse and member of our team. In her spare time Louise enjoys time with her family and enjoys going to the Theatre and maybe the occasional attempt at fitness! And off course a glass of wine now and then!!

Becci joined our team in 2021  embarking on her exciting journey as a trainee dental nurse, with a bright smile and infectious enthusiasm she has since qualified and enjoys every aspect of dentistry.  Since 2011 she also currently works as a beautian , where she has gained good people skills with care and compassion. She has a bustling home life with her family - two children and two dogs. She particularly enjoys going for walks along the seafront and woodland areas, as well as, listening to music and socialising with friends. As Becci continues to build her knowledge and skills, she plans to progress further within the practice.

I’m Aisha! I’m a qualified overseas dental hygienist who began my journey at the Canadian University of North Atlantic. After moving to the UK, I became a registered dental nurse and continued to grow my passion for dentistry. I’m currently part of the amazing team at Hedge End Dental Centre, where every day is a chance to learn, collaborate, and make a difference in patient care. In my leisure time, I love spending quality moments with my sweet little family!

I am a trainee dental nurse, I joined Hedge End Dental practice 2024. I like helping patients with questions and making them feel at ease during routine check up appointments & treatments. In my spare time I am not studying I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends.

My name is Roya Amiri, and I am a trainee dental nurse at Hedge End Dental Surgery. I am passionate about providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a comfortable experience for all patients. I’ve always been interested in Dentistry, and being part of a dental team allows me to make a difference in people's smiles. Hello my name is Jacqui. I am one of the receptionist at Hedge End Dental.  I like to think that I am a very happy person and greet everyone of our patients who come through our door with a smile. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren going bowling and playing games. I also love to go on holiday, my favourite place has to be America.

Rachel has been working at Hedge End Dental for almost a year and enjoys her role as a receptionist. She likes to make sure that the patients journey runs seamless as possible and takes pride in her work. During her spare time Rachel likes to unwind in the spa relaxing and going swimming.

My name is Sonia. I started of as a dental receptionist around 2000 and became a qualified dental nurse soon after, I enjoy doing both. I love to spend time with my two children in my free time and doing lots of fun activities from swimming to going to the park and eating out occasionally.
